If you’re someone who likes to bounce around a bit in the middle of the night, the Casper Hybrid might be your perfect combo sleeper. The mattress is highly mobile, so these folks should have no problem moving around and changing positions in the night. Who I don’t recommend the Casper Hybrid mattress for
I do not recommend the Casper Hybrid mattress for heavy sleepers. These folks need a robust structure with lots of lift, so you may want to explore options on our best mattress for heavy people page.
I’d also add that this mattress is definitely not soft enough for those who sleep mostly on their sides. It’s made for sleepers who stay on one side the whole time. The mattress with the most pain relief is the Casper Hybrid Mattress, an advanced mattress that offers both pressure relief and bounce in a single mattress. It is suitable for all sleepers, including side sleepers.
A pressure map is a great tool for finding pressure points. As you roll around, the pressure map shows the amount of force you’re applying to the bed, which can be useful when testing for pressure points.
Back pain is often caused by a number of issues, and knowing what to do for back pain depends a bit on what’s causing the pain in the first place. If you’re experiencing back pain due to the results of a bad workout, I’d suggest the Casper Hybrid.
No high-pressure areas developed around the lower back, and the zoned support layer did a great job keeping my back in a healthy alignment. Shoulder pain – Based on the yellow and light green around the shoulders on this map, the Casper Hybrid is not a great fit for sleepers with shoulder pain.
I would opt for one of our best mattresses to find a mattress that offers more pressure relief. You might need to adjust your position on the mattress depending on the level of pain you experience. Side sleepers with hip pain could have some stiffness in the area when sleeping on this mattress.
If you wake up in the middle of the night, this could be comfortable enough for you. However, if you have hip pain, you may want to go with the other option from the list.

Motion transfer, or motion transfer, refers to the amount of movement detectable from one side of the bed to the other. If you share a bed, this is a measure of whether or not you will be able to feel your partner moving around.
In order to illustrate how motion transfer works, I dropped a 10 lb. steel ball from heights of four inches, eight inches, and twelve inches, measured the disturbance it caused, and the bigger the lines, the bigger the disturbance. The results were just okay, which means you’re likely to feel your partner’s movements in the night.
After considering how bouncy and supportive this mattress is, it’s no wonder that it doesn’t isolate motion so well.
SEX
A good mattress should have a combination of motion isolation and responsiveness. You need enough motion isolation so that your partner isn’t waking you in the middle of the night, but you also want a mattress that’s comfortable enough that it lets you move around without it feeling stiff or clunky.
If you’re looking for the perfect sex toy, the Casper Hybrid is a good choice. But if you don’t want to be disturbed by your partner getting up in the middle of the night, this may not be the right toy for you.
Cooling
Cooling. Couples need to be as comfortable as possible when they sleep together, which is why a mattress that helps them do so is the perfect investment.
Edge Support
Edge support refers to how well a mattress holds up on the sides as compared to the center. A mattress with good edge support will feel larger, since you can sleep comfortably on all of its surface area, which is great for couples. I think the Casper Hybrid had pretty good edge support! I didn’t feel like I was going to fall off the edge while laying there.

Our review process. Each mattress comes to us in a box and we first have to unbox it to find out how difficult (or easy) it is to lift the mattress from the box to the bed.
We lay on our bed in different positions to see which is best for us. We then test our mattress using special tools to measure qualities like motion transfer, bounce, and pressure relief.
At this point, we’ve taken a thorough look at the mattress, inspected the bedding and sheets, and made sure the mattress is free of stains and odors. We’ve measured the thickness and weight and found out how many people it will comfortably fit.
